Lara Jensen has more than twenty years of legal experience in the areas of insurance coverage, insurance defense, and construction litigation. Her experience primarily involves the fields of construction, trucking and automobile, fatalities and personal injury, and general liability. She has represented insurers in insurance coverage litigation involving work-product exclusions, known loss claims, Additional Insured claims, contractual indemnity claims, bad faith claims, and issues of policy interpretation. She has successfully obtained summary judgments in favor of her insurer clients.
A large focus of Ms. Jensen’s practice has been construction litigation, representing owners, architects, engineers, and contractors in complex, multi-party litigation involving construction defects, business losses, business interruption, and payment claims. Her experience also includes interpretation and litigation of construction industry contracts (such as AIA contracts), public and private works payment claims, and public bid disputes. She has experience mediating these types of claims, and when necessary, taking them to trial before both juries and judges.
Ms. Jensen graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 1991. She then graduated from Tulane University Law School in 1995. She has been a speaker at various insurance groups and at U.S. Naturalization ceremonies, and she enjoys volunteering in the community for local non-profits.
